What’s the origin of “tithe barn”? Is that where they paid tithes?

What great photos of barns–I love the last one of the brickwall and the planter in front of it. I just started to “blog” and finally figured out how to post photos. I love to take nature pictures and took some this summer that turned out far better than I expected. I think you’ve inspired me to start looking around at “old buildings”. Come look at my pics sometime.

I am glad you like them :-) If you give me your link I will check out your pics.

      • I’m new at this so I hope this is the info you need. When I have more time, I’ll scroll through some of your earlier posts. Mickie Moore Brown @forgetmenotmmm

      • My apologies if you are getting multiple messages from me–I’m new at this and don’t quite know which key to click or when to click it. It’s Mickie Moore Brown —forgetmenotmmm —I had previously said in a message which you may or maynot have gotten, that I would scroll through some of your earlier blogs when I had more time. Looks like you have an interesting site.

I hope you have fun with your new camera :-) I am seriously thinking of getting a new that will give me more options as a birthday treat for myself.

Makes one wonder what the farmer/owner got in exchange for giving 10% of his yield to fill the pockets of the clergy…is tithing still practiced anywhere?

    • CherryPie says:

I suppose it is a bit like us paying taxes these days, so yes one does wonder…

I am not sure if tithing is still practised anywhere either.
