I missed all the ‘real’ English bluebells this year. I have these Spanish imports in my garden (planted by previous owners), but today when I got to my Bluebell wood near Henley – they were passed their best. :(
A bit like me really. :o

How disappointing for you to have missed the bluebells…

I went to Attingham expecting lunch and a nice walk, the bluebells were a bonus I wasn’t expecting :-)

You are definitely not past your best ;-)

Sumptious….and all the more indulgent having the wood to yourself.

Ahh yes :-) I remember some lovely moments in the bluebell woods at Hodnet Hall when I was taking a solitary stroll there.

I think my photos from those occasions are still my best bluebell photos :-)

  3. Lovely photo!! :)
    I love bluebells.
It’s hard to tell whether these are English bluebells or Spanish bluebells.
But they look like Spanish to me. ;)
    They are very invasive.

I have got more photos to come. I think these are the English ones again, but I have some of the Spanish ones too, they were located in a different part of the park. I have a close up of them ;-)

  4. There’s nothing like the sight of a field of bluebells
