Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating;
there is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.

“Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot,
We’ll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!”
That is a nice little ditty too
What a gorgeous garden scene. Looks like a wonderful place!
It is a lovely place
My favourite flowers, Cherie. And hurricane is no good. Claude says so…..
I am glad you like the flowers I agree to your thoughts on a hurricane!
I agre with him … except for snow which I hate!
I do like to look at snow as long as I don’t have to trog through it to get anywhere and I have ample food supplies in stock at home.
A great quote, Cherry, as is also the image. They say in Norway that there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes. A variation on the theme, I guess.
I like that version too, it seems very wise.
A lovely shot Cherie and as for the quote, well we should be used to all kinds of weather by now, LOL
I agree, we don’t seem to have seasons any-more. Just weather!
Rain and snow are truly wonderful but we don’t get enough snow, sadly.
I do love snow but only in moderation and if I have adequate supplies
no such thing as bad weather?
Obviously Ruskin didn’t live in Northumberland
and James, snow is evil
There was an awful lot of damage to Cragside last winter. There were pictures of the snow piled up over and around the greenhouses and various mentions of the damage that had been done.
Here is a report on the extent of the damage. Perhaps you should direct J to it
Lovely photo but not entirely convinced by the quote! Today’s weather is grey, damp and cold – not nice at any time but def not in August.
It seems that a lot of people have a problem with the quote…
You always come up with interesting quotes, ones I have never heard of before. I will have to try to remember this quote next cold blustery and rainy day we have.
I think it is designed to make us think about the weather and what it means
