Each year at Easter the local parish church erects a wooden cross. During the morning service on Easter Sunday members of the congregation (including children) adorn the cross with flowers.
This is the cross that was decorated in 2010. Easter that year was the same weekend as it is this year and I remember making a special journey to take the photos. This particular cross holds lots of memories for me…
Happy Easter, Cherie.:)
Thank You
What a delightful, meaningful celebration for Easter Sunday, Cherry. That would make a fabulous video to watch, for those of us who can’t attend in person!
I have not been to the service either, I would feel like I was intruding in a community that I am not part of. But I love what they do
What a beautiful photo and tradition too. Happy Easter to you!
Thank you Jane
And to you. That was really something at that church.
They do some lovely things in that church community
This is incredible..I’ve never seen anything quite like it. So perfect for Easter!
It is really lovely, my Mum helps to facilitate the placing of the flowers on the morning
Happy Easter, C!
Save me some chocolate eggs.
When you visit Shropshire, you can claim your chocolate eggs
What a beautiful church and such a lovely photo. Mickie
