Ah, there it is – how high did you go?
Thank you for highlighting the problem
The second stage it has the ultimate view so there is no reason for me to go any higher
Does it still make crazy light every hour each night?
How many people actually have an epileptic fit when they stare at the light? ;o)
I have no idea… I didn’t visit during the night on this visit.
The last time I visited at night I didn’t notice any crazy lights…
Last time we were over, for a special anniversary, we had dinner at the Jules Verne. Absolutely superb. But we’ll have to save up for the next ten years to do it again..
That sounds like a very expensive restaurant!!
I know that landmark.
Coffee is on.
Do you like?
I have vertigo just to look all the way up.
I wonder who you will feel looking down when the glass floor is installed…
I think I may have said before, that I only got to the ‘premier etage’, being on a day trip with my exchange family. I so desperately wanted to go higher but it was too expensive.
When D. came to England, expecting awful food and no fun at all, she was pleasantly surprised. She lusted over my public school educated, very handsome brother who opened the serving hatch and asked if she wanted a ‘bu’. Or something similar.
Laugh.
I have never had any desire to go to ‘premier etage’ because I was told the view was no better from there and the only reason climb that high was to say you had done it…
So I am happy to explore the view and take photos at my leisure whilst some of the others felt the need to go that one stage higher
Love the story about D and your brother
Classical and timeless structure that looks beautiful from any angle. I also remember climbing no further than the second stage in 1984 & 2005. Memorable views and experiences with various people, thanks for reminding me about it here.
I am glad my photos brought back fond memories for you
