    Hi Cherrie, I read somewhere that they had renamed the Tower – ‘Queen Elizabeth Tower’ or something similar? I personally think the tower is very ‘masculine’ looking and Ben is a much better name. :)
    Actually, I believe it is the bell that is called ‘Big Ben’ is it not? I’m not sure what the tower was called before the renaming last year. Probably something like ‘Westminster Clock Tower’?

      Yes it is the bell that is referred to as ‘Big Ben’. Prior to the name change apparently the tower was just “clock tower”.

      I had to check that out on Wiki ;-)
