Chapel Bridge

I was greeted with this delightful view whilst walking to dinner on my first evening in Lucerne.

The view was a treat from Mr C who did his usual reconnaissance exercise to find the best places to dine. During his explorations he found the perfect walking route to surprise me with this view.  Whilst he was scouting the area I was having a nice relaxing bath to recover from our earlier flight hassles ;-)

I had a feeling I’d been to Lucerne, many years ago. Now I know for sure. Enjoying all the pics!

    So they did rebuild it.

      He has his moments ;-)

The reason for the reconnaisance excercise goes back a number of years and is particularly useful if there is a group of us.

That is a gesture of love that he’d scout out the best walk/view for you. My Mum id that for me one year when we went to Cornwall. We were at Land’s End an she found the perfect seafood restaurant off a seaside that looked like the waters of the Caribbean. of course we had to navigate a field with a bull in it and a steep slope of a hill that was almost impossible to climb back up,but well worth the dangers!

So would you holiday in Lucerne again, Cherie?

Finding a restaurant before we go out for the evening has been standard procedure for a while, it came about from group/family holidays when we needed to think of the older people in the group and not wander around for hours looking for just the right place to eat. Mr C does have the capacity to walk everyone elses legs off and still carry on going ;-)

His searching out the view and presenting it that way was something special :-)

I would go to Lucerne again, but I wouldn’t stay as long. We have seen nearly all the Lucerne sights now, so it would be a weekend place before moving on elsewhere.

That is some bridge. So civilised to have a roof on it.
