Bathroom - Before

I had an extended break after my recent holiday. My bathroom was being refitted, which was long overdue. I probably should have given a public health warning ahead of showing the above before photo. I will not be sad to be rid of those pink flowers which were not at all to my taste. I love flowers, but I like them in a garden or occasionally in a vase.

It is not very clear in the after photos, but the tiling is grey and the bath panel and cupboard have grey and beige flecks running across them to compliment the tiling above the bath. In due course I will take some photos in natural light so you can see the effect more clearly.

  1. I am going to miss your old wallpaper.
    Strawberries and cream?
    No way!

You won’t know yourself – what a sleek bathroom. I get the imprerssion that it looks bigger, too

It is bigger the wall by the window has been unboxed. The plumbing is now at low level. The placing of the toilet and basin away from the window and opposite the bath has added an optical illusion that makes the room look even bigger still.

Wow! That’s really nice. Myself I love flowers everywhere[huge chintz fan],but this is really lovely and modern. I don’t get how tankless toilets work though…

I love pastel mostly understated plain rooms paintings and ornaments to compliment them. I find those kind of spaces calming and relaxing.

It isn’t tankless, the tank is behind the box. the cover pulls off to access the tank ;-)

Snap! My bathroom is fully tied in grey.
Best thing I ever did – I never need to wipe them down –
they never show a spec of dirt! :)

Not only ‘tied’ :o , but tiled. And somewhat tired, as my poor old eyes are this evening.
It’s thinking of all those ’shades of grey’ that causes my fingers to miss out letters! :O

Everyone who has walked into that room has gone Wow!!! even the man who was fitting out the bathroom for us :-)

I like my bathroom shades of grey :-) as to the other sort… they have passed me by ;-)

No pain, no gain. That is an impressive result.
I have a job trying to get a week off work trying to fit in a roofer to do my garage roof far less major modifications in the house.
It’s becoming a rarity hearing about house improvements amongst friends in the last few years as they are all having to sideline money for other essentials.

    • CherryPie says:

It has taken a few years, but now we are able to get onto much needed (as in worn out) house improvements. There are still a few to go, but as you say the problem is taking the time of work to fit them all in!
