Wow! THis is my favourote church photo of yours bar none! Gorgeous! I shall have to ig out an eerie night pic I took of Salisbury Cathedral to show you some time.
In some of the literature I read, this church was heralded as a mini Durham
i really liked the shots, all of them. the stained glass work came out nicely.
Thank you
I’m really drawn to these smaller churches, Cherry. I’d want to see this one.
I hope you get the chance to visit some day
2nd pic – oh yes!
There is something about the light isn’t there?
Restful, peaceful.
Perchance to dream…
2nd pic is indeed excellent. Interesting asymmetry in the pillars on each side. I think I recognise the bird from an earlier post. You take me to places I’d never go. If only they were for meditating on the glories and mysteries of nature I’d be in them every week (I suppose I could try with ear muffs on).
Thank you
Your memory serves you well I did indeed post this magnificent bird before.

On this occasion there were only two people inside, myself and Mr C. I think you would enjoy them, they are full of history, art and architecture. And lots of photo opportunities
Without your photos, I would miss so much of the beautiful architecture of earlier centuries. Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you I am glad you like them.
I am really taken by that beautifully polished brass lectern, Cherie, but the whole set of St. Cuthbert’s Church is most interesting
I think you would enjoy a visit there. The lectern is is a particularly fine example.
Very nice photos and a nice different take on the cropped lectern stand. I find there’s always either some obstruction or something in the way. I once moved the microphone stand and it looked from the angle I took it at that the eagle was speaking to the congregation
That sounds like a really nice photograph I don’t thing I would have the nerve to move things around…
