We set off a little later than planned for the first stage of our holiday where we were staying with family in Kent for a housewarming party before moving on to Chichester.
Despite the late start we were still in time to stop for lunch at Little Amsterdam, Banbury. Suitably refreshed we carried on with our journey which was slow and tedious due to congestion on the motorway around London.
We eventually arrived at our destination. We were given a tour of the house before a well earned aperitif before dinner.
Good to be able to get back into you site, Cherie
I didn’t realise there had been a problem with my site?
Little Amsterdam in Kent, England! How fun, Cherry!
The Little Amsterdam Cafe is in Oxfordshire. We stopped off there on our way to Kent
Did you see the cathedral in Chichester?
We saw half of it… It is partly under wraps at the moment
There’s a quaint little town called Bosham, located not far away from Chichester.
Their parish church was featured in the Bayeux Tapestry!
We drove past Bosham on our way to Fishbourne.
I think you’d enjoy Bosham, CP. I used to cycle there when I was a kid and it has a wonderful history – bit about it here – http://bitaboutbritain.com/bosham-cnut-the-kings-daughter-and-harold/
Thanks for the link, I am sure I would enjoy Bosham.
That looks delicious!

Lunch at Little Amsterdam in Banbury looks just how a summer lunch should be. Preferably outside in a sunny garden space, or inside surrounded by entirely glass windows and doors. Blissful.
It is a perfect place on a summers day
I like the view of that pancake… looks very familiair … the place-mat looks very authentic and great for the restaurant.
The family are from the Netherlands and the restaurant is excellent
