Not sure what the difference between a dock in pier

A dock is an enclosed area of water such as a waterfront port or harbour. A pier is a structure for walking on that projects out over sea and other water areas.
I have always dreamed of living by the water.
Lovely as long is it isn’t tidal or prone to flooding.
Lovely photos – it must be lovely to live so close to water.
I prefer water in a more rural setting
i have a admired the long boats since my trip to England for the SC meting four years ago… this is a nice presentation….peter:)
