Today was dull overcast day but I couldn’t resist going back to Leegomery Pools to look for the goslings I mentioned in my previous post.
The dull overcast day meant that the pathways were quiet. I saw few people and was able to linger and enjoy the cute goslings who were leading their parents around the pool.
As I was photographing the goslings, Mr Heron flew overhead and settled at the opposite end of the pool before flying overhead again and choosing a different perch. By the time I resumed my walk he had hidden himself from view. Near to where I saw him in close proximity a few days ago a Greylag Goose was standing on one leg!
PS: My photos are not the best quality but I hope you enjoy what I saw on my walk
Beautiful babies Even mature and somewhat world weary adults melt at the sight of baby goslings, puppies, kittens, koala bears etc. As long as they are fluffy and have wide eyes (so I don’t melt, for example, at the sight of a baby snake or octopus.)
I have to confess to having a delighful encounter with a baby octopus in Chester’s Blue Planet Aquarium
I am pleased you found the goslings, Cherie. Dull, and particularly wet days, are the best time to get out now
I need to test out my potentially safe pathway to the nearby woods
oh these are truly bundle of joy ))
this is amazing that everything has became enchanting during spring in your area dear Cheri
these green cherishing views and soothing water must fill your spirit with peace
Spring always uplifts my spirits it is the time of rejuvenation and growth.
I ventured out to see them again today. They were there but not close enough for me take a photograph.
