This year for my photo project I have chosen to take at least one photo each month of the plunge pool in Apley Woods. Today, I walked there for the first time in 2022. As part of my walk I took in the new owl sculpture just outside the woods.

that is a nice target for the year and i particularly liked the shot with the reflections, CP.
Thank you This pool is very photogenic, I am looking forward to what I see over the next 12 months.
What a great idea. I bet you see a lot of change over the year.
I am looking forward to seeing the changes. I haven’t monitored this location fro changes before.
A lovely project for the year. I love the roots on that tree and the owl sculptures
I love the roots on trees, they fascinate me
What a happy family!
I can see Papa Owl on sentry duty, Mama Owl chilling in the living room, Baby Owls trying to finish their homework…Ha ha
PS: Were you able to go inside Leeds Minster?
No, it was shut. But it’s properly the 3rd “minster” church I have come across, after Westminster and York Minster. Don’t know any other Minsters…
It is a lovely sculpture but it is sad the tree was cut down
What a shame that you couldn’t go inside, maybe next time!
I have ‘minster’ to add to your list. Halifax Minster, it is well worth a visit
Funny that you mentioned Halifax, cos I asked you something about European-style squares in England. Yes, I have heard of Piece Hall in Halifax, it does look like the main square in Madrid (don’t remember the name).
But no, I have not been to Halifax yet. Yes, I do need to add Halifax Minster into my bucket list to visit.
The Piece Hall does surround a large square but it doesn’t have buildings that remind me of other places in Europe.
