Oh we can’t grow rhododendrons in Malaysia’s lowland.
But they grow well in the highland, where the climate is cool all-year around, pretty much like mid-late spring in England.
Did you know that, Malaysia is actually one of the centres of diversity for rhododendrons in the world? There are 15 species native to my home land.
It is interesting to learn that Malaysia is one of the centres of diversity for rhododendrons.
In the UK they become invasive if not managed properly.
I know, right! Cos it’s hard to associate tropical Malaysia with rhododendrons. I only knew this fact, because Malaysia Post kept issuing series of rhododendron stamps for some years. So I did a little bit of research and found out this fact eventually.
We can also grow strawberries all year round in my home country up in the highland. But they don’t taste as sweet as yours, plus they’re very pricey. Ha ha…
