After breakfast we headed to Stonehenge for which we had pre-booked tickets, arriving earlier than our ticket time but were able to go in due to the low number of visitors. I have never seen Stonehenge’s car park so quiet.

A Walk to Stonehenge
When we visited Stonehenge last year we chose to take a leisurely stroll to the stones rather than embark upon the shuttle bus. Archaeologists Uncover 6,000 Year Old Encampment Near Stonehenge
In September 2014 archaeologists discovered an encampment about 1.5 miles away from Stonehenge. Using carbon dating it has taken until now to be able to determine the age of the encampment to be around 6,000 years old.
