It seems that normal service has resumed at least for a while with my internet connection. So now I can share with you the impressive views that can be seen from Edinburgh Castle:

In my view the most interesting city in the UK, visually. I lived there for a short while in 1993. But despite the architectural eye candy the social life was quite dull. I imagine it’s perked up a bit as a result of devolution.

I agree, there is a lot of nice architecture in Edinburgh. I have only ever stayed there once and the experience was enough to put me off staying there again.

  2. Great pics. I love the panorama

You get around, Cherie. Is there any part of the UK and Ireland you haven’t seen?

    Beautiful country, especially the north.

  5. Lovely photos. To my shame, I’ve never been to Edinburgh.

Lovely. Did your camera lense also detect the Cemetary for Soldiers’ Dogs? :)

Your photos are always impressive. I’m grateful you’re sharing as I’ll never go to the places you’re visiting. Edinburg seems so interesting, and the Castle is marvellous though a little bit austere looking.

Forgot to say that I love your changing header images. Great blog, CherryPie. Thanks!

And there’s more: hooray! Actually I already knew as a latecomer … Lovely pix, Cherie. Thank you.
PS Like Claudia, I am also enjoying the changing pix on the masthead.
