What a lovely place! I don’t care if my comment doesn’t appear; I just want to register my delight, on this thoroughly wet and overcast day in Ireland, at seeing such a sunny green scene. I can practically smell the vegetation and feel the fresh spray on my face. Thank you!
[P.S. I found you through Omnium, the pseudo-Scot.]
Hello Stan, thank you for dropping by I am glad you enjoyed the view The waterfall is in the grounds of a stately home and it was a lovely day for walking and exploring the grounds.
Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but I have been having problems with my blog this week and your comment has only just appeared in the moderation queue.
Oh, it appeared after all! No need to apologise, CherryPie — it’s only been a couple of hours. It has stopped raining here, for a while at least, but I’m going to look at the waterfall a little longer…
It is raining here today as well and the weather forecast is threatening snow. Definitely a day for looking at some summer photos.
Gorgeous pic of what is clearly a ravishing spot. There’s a smashing man-made waterfall near the summit of the Colline, which can be seen from far away: can’t help thinking how much you’d love it!
Where abouts is the Colline, it is something I haven’t heard of?
Near me. Very near me – and it’s been not only tramped all over by me, but covered on the blog: la Colline du Chateau itself! Bit closer to you, tho’ – Cleddon Falls: a spot I’d really recommend. Know whole area well, and it contains many of the kind of sights I think you’d love (industrial archaeology; mysterious standing stones; medieaval buildings/ruins; woodland; hills; cleanest river in UK winding through lush valley …) as well as being extremely peaceful. It is beautiful in any weather at any time of year.
It sounds really wonderful, I have not heard of Cleddon Falls before. I shall have to go and investigate
