The lily terrace is dominated by a formal water feature:
The main feature of the Lily Terrace is a formal piece of water, rectangular save for a semicircular bay in the middle of the west side. In this pond grow a number of hybrid water-lilies, ranging in colour from red, through pink and white, to pale yellow. *
I have only ever seen pink lilies before so I was a joy to see such delicate yellow blooms.
*From the Bodnant Garden guidebook.
One could almost walk across them.
One would have to be light of foot
I just love waterlilies. Beautiful!!!
Thanks for visiting my blog
I am glad you enjoyed them, I love warterlilies
So gracefully, serenely floating. A Lily-Water Ballet…
They do so look like they are having a ballet dance don’t they
I know it’s a long way from home for you, but the best water-lilies I have ever come across are at Wisley.
Every colour you could wish for.
RHS of course.
That sounds like a wonderful sight.
I think I should factor that area into a future holiday destination
