    That’s pretty impressive. :)

There was also a Gog and Magog in a lane in Melbourne’s CBD – I haven’t heard of any others but no doubt there are. This pic is an impressive scene, of course.

  3. YTSL says:

Gog and Magog — don’t sound at all like Christian names! ;O

  4. That’s a a magnificent cloxk, Great choice for the theme. Gog and Magog are also associated with the London Guildhall.

  5. Beautiful lighting effect highlighting this grand clock! It still puzzles me why these two legendary, evil names (with rather an intimidating history) are incorporated into art and architecture!

Lovely. I’ve been in York Minster, but I don’t remember seeing this clock. Next time I’ll have to be more observant!

I think in a lot of places we all need to remember to look up. For example the stately homes have fantastic ceilings if you remember to look up and it is so easy to forget.

  7. Lilian says:

Very nice. I vaguely remembers seeing this when I went to York years ago.

Hi Cherie, what a beautiful and impressive clock. I’d love to see it in person. Happy weekend.

That is a cool clock. I’m going to have to look up the clock and figures since I am unfamiliar with the type. Lovely photo and great interpretation for the difficult theme.

What a lovely clock. I can’t believe this theme was so difficult for me now I see so many people using different clock photos! Happy weekend to you Cherie.

I struggled as well until I checked in my York photos and saw I had got this picture which I hadn’t used yet.

Happy weekend to you too :-)
