Weight Loss - Week 15

The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that there is no week 14 post. This is because I was enjoying a well earned weekend away, with all it’s food challenges.

Before I went away I was given the new Weight Watchers ProPoints plan to trial. It was difficult to get my head around the new points system which seems to give me roughly double the points I used to have but all the foods are calculated differently. The previous plan worked on calories and saturated fat, the new one takes into account how the food is processed by the body and takes into account; proteins, carbohydrates fat and fibre.

I was determined to make a go of it whilst I was away whilst still enjoying the cuisine of the region. I do have photo evidence of some of the foods I enjoyed ;-) The biggest boost for me was that fruit is now free and the Belgian desserts always seemed to have a fancy fruit and sorbet mix. Which left me free to try out those delicious waffles and chocolate options on other occasions ;-)

So how did I do 2 weeks after I had last been weighed? I only gained 0.5lb so I am happy :-) I think I am getting my head around the new plan and it works.

Wow! It’s great that you gained so little while on a Holiday Trip. I think you’re really in charge now. You made it, Cherie. :)

Well done. You keep making progress.
BTW who sets your goal weight? Is it worked out for you according to height, build etc. or do you set it yourself?
I know what weight I would like to be, but I’m begining to wonder if it’s realistic :-/

Weight Watchers encourage you to get with in your healthy BMI limit. But it is your choice to set what your goal limit is. I chose my goal weight to be slap bang in the middle of the upper and lower limit of my BMI, I maintained that weight for a number of years and felt quite happy and healthy. Life events took over and I gained a few pounds over stages, I still kept monitoring my weight and trying. I hate to think what would have happened if I hadn’t kept an eye on it.

I think your weight goal is realistic and I am guessing life is just stopping you getting focused at the moment. So I think you are doing fine, you will get there :-)
