That room with a view also had a permanent resident. I am not sure why his hood was up when I arrived (although it was a little chilly in the room), but I thought it made him look a little bit like a monk. He had a message on a tag around his neck, which said:
Hello,
My name is Martin’s Bear and I welcome you to my home. I know you will enjoy your stay. Please leave me in MY room as I do not like to travel!
My cousins however waiting for you at reception and would love to meet your family…
From the looks of it he seems to be planning a small adventure around Bruges. At this point I feel the need to point out that I would never dream of taking a room bear on an adventure
A hoodie bear? Watch out he didn’t nick your credit cards!
Everything seems to be in tact, but the room did have a safe
What a cutie of a bear! And Cherie, tsk, tsk at the thought of taking a room bear out for an adventure… (Me, I bring my own plushie out – have you “met” my Puppet Ponyo yet?)
I don’t normally take room bears out for adventures. Although there was that one occasion when a bear went on a big adventure
The duvets look a bit on the short size for us humans!
Are you sure you hadn’t booked into a ‘Bear Hotel’ by mistake.
(As an aside, we do actually have – ‘The Bear Hotel’, in Maidenhead.)
They were very strange duvets when they were unfolded. The length of quilt cover was twice as long as the quilt and got tucked in at the bottom of the bed. I have never seen anything like it before.
Hopefully it doesn’t have bears frequenting the bar area
He does look like a monk! I like him – he makes the room look very cozy. Hope you had a great trip!
I thought he looked cute and happier when I had removed his hood
The weekend away was great, thanks
