By the time we had walked to the fountain in Zand Square the weather had taken a turn for the worse. I am not sure whether there was more water in the fountain or coming out of the sky. After standing around for some time whilst one of the party took a lengthy phone-call I decided to postpone the rest of the walking tour and resume it on a dry day.
The fountain depicts typical Flanders scenes and icons and was created in the 1980s.

It’s an unusual fountain – I like it. I’m enjoying these pics from your trip. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks Annie, there are a few more photos of the fountain to come later

That statue looks dressed for the wet weather! Hope you were too.
We had our umbrellas
Nice take for today.

He looks a little more ready for the wet weather!
He was, but he doesn’t seem quite so cheerful as we were
The statue is very interesting. I like the sharp angles. And I don’t blame you for waiting for a drier day to continue the tour.
The tour did get resumed and it was much more enjoyable
Great sculpture.
He does look larger than life
