A couple of weeks ago I was taken on a special detour to see how beautiful the tree in front of the Parish Church looked adorned with it’s Christmas lights. I was visiting family on boxing day which meant that on the way home I had the ideal opportunity to photograph the tree. It looked particularly beautiful tonight with the snow on the ground.
I had a bit of a challenge on my hands to try and capture a half decent photograph without my tripod especially because I am unfamiliar with my new camera. I haven’t had time to take the camera through it’s paces yet. The pictures are by no means perfect, but I was quite pleased with the results under the circumstances.
Very nice CherryPie.
I’m still unfamiliar with my camera after two years!
I hope I get chance to take mine properly through it’s paces soon and learn at least a few more of it’s features
That’ll save on street lighting CP, great photo:)
It was very bright
A lovely image CP. merry Christmas. Dx
Thanks D, so glad you like it
I am still learning too. Lovely shot Cherie ~ very beautiful…and yes silent night really fits
Thanks Chrissy, the shot can’t be to bad if you think it is OK
I got the photo in just in time before our big thaw this morning.
“…by no means perfect…”
Looks picture perfect to me, (although I’m a slipshod slop in such matters – point, click, that’ll do, and if I get any blurring, or bleaching or whatever other sin I just pretend it was carefully crafted on purpose
Thank You H.
All your pictures look perfect to me
I like the little strange artefacts that occur in some of mine
Beautiful picture. Quite well done. Just think what you’ll be able to produce once you *are* familiar with the camera.
Hopefully I will get there in the end
You went out at night without your tripod, Cherie?
That’s a good point James. What was the lady thinking about going out at night without her tripod?
Technically I went out in the morning without my tripod so on my chance opportunity on the way home I was tripod-less!
Ah, now all is revealed.
