On the way back to the more beaten track (and lunch) we took in some more churches (exteriors only) and a very nice canal view.  After lunch we all split up and went our different ways.  I visited the fine arts museum, but it’s normal exhibition was put away so that an exhibition of Van Eyck/Oude 15th century religious paintings could be displayed.

The exhibition was interesting to a point, but there are only so many similar religious paintings you can enjoy before getting a little bored.  After all that walking I allowed myself to succumb to temptation but more on that later ;-)

Love that last picture of the canal. :)
When I see houses with windows overlooking water – I always ask myself – “I wonder where the window cleaner puts his ladder?” :)

Where the window cleaner puts his ladders is an interesting thought! Maybe they sit on the windowsill. lean out and clean them that way? :-)

And I love the canal picture too. The reflecting sculpted water is stunning.

  3. And the chance to swim to the shops too.I like Brugge more and more!

I can’t comment any differently than others for I too very much like the canal photo – well and the church architecture right above it…..
