‘Love’ is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own…

Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy.

Robert A. Heinlein

Happy Valentine's Day :-)

    Much wisdom. And splendid photo!

  2. MTG says:

Jealousy is the blunt term which detracts from Heinlein’s hypothesis. Perhaps he was struggling to define something as rare as it is unhealthy; unconditional love.

A far too philosophical thought pour moi.
    I’m more for:-
“My Love is like a red, red Rose.”
    and
“If music be the food of love; play on.” :)

Hope you get the card you wish for tomorrow! :)

A very intuitive quote….I always like the idea that if you love someone, you give them wings and let them fly :) Gorgeous rose photo too, my favourite colour by far :-)

    • CherryPie says:

I also believe that if you love someone you must give them wings, it is the only way for them to be themselves and for the love to continue :-)

Glad you like the rose :-)

  5. Love is selflessness.
And love shares a common language.
Pictures can convey love without any words.
Hence, it’s a powerful tool to spread love.
And you did it through these lovely roses! :)

    • CherryPie says:

All so very true and thank you for your kind comment about me roses :-)

Just been out for a meal and after I left the restaurant the owner came rushing out and gave me a red rose from his display vase, how sweet is that :-)

What a fabulous quote for Valentine’s Day, Cherie. Truer words were never spoken! Fabulous image, too!

  7. Marcie says:

What a beautiful quote..and lovely image to accompany!

Sometimes jealousy is someone protecting her own territory and it is the one crying “jealousy” who needs to examine his/her actions.

    • CherryPie says:

That maybe the case but jealousy is not love, jealousy is about possession. ‘True’ love has no place for such thoughts, it is about freedom and so much more.
