I love the ominous sky. Nice shot!
I think the version to Black & White improved the scene. Thank You
Where are their souls now?
I can’t quite find you the link… But a comment I made in one of my posts caused another blogger to suggest that some of the souls were still present. The suggestion was that the soul was quite close to me which caused a passing dog to behave in an unexpected way as I walked past.
Wow, I love this. Very moody (in a good way). Have a happy weekend.
Thanks Annie, glad you like it
Stunning photo–almost inspirational. Like the portrait too! The Leed’s garden maze is quite interesting and the cascading waterfall is beautiful. There, I think I got them all in!!!! Our weather has been most interesting–one week ago it was minus 17 degrees (a record low). Yesterday it was 78 degrees (a record high). Quite the turnaround in a week’s time–a 95 degree difference! I hope plants and buds don’t start coming out yet because I know it will freeze several more times. Have a nice weekend. Mickie
That is a whirlwind of thoughts and weather changes
Lets hope those buds hide a little while longer so they keep safe until the weather stays warm.
I hope you have a good weekend too
A very stark reminder of the history that happened there.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
The black and white sort of emphasises it.
I hope you have a good weekend too

This reminds me of the Tennyson Cross on the Isle of Wight.
Would love to go back and explore the island again!
I’d also love to visit Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man one day…
Do we have to show them our passports? Ha…
I have never been to the Isle of Wight but I have been to the Isle of Man a long time ago.
Well you do need a passport to get into Wales…
the brooding sky is very appealing. brings so much to the total feel of this silhouette shot.
Thank you Ewok.
this is awesome find! impressive silhouette.
Thanks Luna
What a beautiful picture and such a powerful feeling to it! Great job!
Mine is here.
Thanks srp
A very haunting and poignant shot. Very fitting in B&W.
Thank you
Une très belle composition noir et blanc. L’image est forte et les nuages renforcent la croix…
Thanks for your thoughts
