Illuminated

I have now returned from from my second journey (in a month) down south.  It is such a long journey (5 hours) that it feels like a trip to the moon.    Making the journey by road is less than ideal; it is mostly motorways, which currently have a lot of roadworks that slow down the traffic.  Life has been a bit hectic lately so on this occasion I made the journey by train which was far less stressful than a trip in the car.

The leisurely train journey gave me an ideal opportunity to get started on the first Vision and Verb book group read.  I arrived home feeling relaxed and ready for dinner which was prepared in my new kitchen. I then had an earlyish night for me and enjoyed my first opportunity for a long lie in since well before Christmas.

My lie in set me up for a day of emptying boxes of kitchen items that are being stored in the dining room. As part of the emptying, the kitchen items had to be washed and suitable places found to store them in the new kitchen.

Oh yes Cherie – to the moon and back! Loved it! Are you replacing anything in your kitchen? What crockery do you have? Ours is all plain white now!

Not replacing any crockery, I have always chosen so I will love it forever :-) Changining a few practical things so they work better such as kitchen utensils, bins, towel dryers and dish drainers but that is as far as it goes :-)

Great that you could take the train, we both love trains! BTW you have a wonderful kitchen, must be a delight to re-arrange everything and make it your own again!!

I love train journeys too, although they don’t always run according to plan in this country these days. The weekend travel was thankfully perfect :-)

I am glad you like the kitchen, I am very pleased with it. We are still trying to get everything back into the cupboards so we can have the dining room back.

Forgot to add; We think 200 miles is indeed to the end of the world, Americans think 200 years is old…. ;)

That is a lot of long journeys in a short space of time. Now I feel lucky that I only had two ;-)

I am glad you have had your final check up and your op went according to plan.

For some reason I am unable to comment on the subsequent post.

Oops! I forgot to check. Wordpress sometimes does a funny thing when you put a “-” in the title that stops the comment page coming up.

      It is sorted now.

  6. Beautiful photo, two moons…
