Your memory will know that what your eyes saw was (even) much more impressive than what the photo shows. Hm?
Yes Sean, it was an amazing sight
The photo does not do it justice
Another stunning image.
Thank you, I must admit I rather like this one myself
What a glorious capture Cherie
Thanks Anyes
Now that is a superb photo
Thanks Jams
that is the best photo you have posted…..
Thanks JD
I am curious as to why you think it is the best picture I have posted…
I mentioned above that I particularity like this photo, but as Sean mentioned when I see the photo it brings back the memory of the view at the time, which is still more vivid than the photo.
So I would like to know why the photo works for you
ah, now you are asking…
you want me to start thinking
OK
I saw what you saw before you decided to take the photo.
Long before you picked up the camera and pointed it at the tree, your subconscious mind saw ‘it’ and then your aware mind responded by framing the tree and click!
Does that make sense?
I like it when people think
Your comment makes perfect sense, I can still see the scene from the day I took that photo, it was far more vivid than the photo itself. It has taken me so long to use the photo because I didn’t think it conveyed what I saw on that day in 2009.
From reading everyone’s comments though, the photo seems to convey exactly what I saw on that day…
The photo was taken on one of the country roads near to Flodden Field. It was one of those ‘please stop the car now’ moments and the photo was taken from inside the car through the windscreen
Thank you for sharing your thoughts
…fogot to mention that I have stolen your picture to do a painting based on it
which I will then photograph and post at N.O. (eventually)
I look forward to seeing that
What an absolutely stunning image! Such gorgeous light!! And – I love the quote. So inspiring.
Thanks Marcie, I am glad you like it
Adding my voice to the chorus. Splendid view. Thanks for sharing. Also a great thought!
Thanks Claude

Just add mine too.
What of yours do you wish me to add?
This is an amazing shot , very well done ! I like the combination of light and shadow . And very well framing .
Thanks Ahmed I am glad you like the photo
So the whole world belongs to the 99% eh?
Yes if only they knew it
Simple but effective image due to how the shape of the tree is positioned with the road.
Glad you like it
