Beautiful! We won’t get to see these planets aligned like this again for many many years!
No we won’t. They are amazing aren’t they?
The things we can see with our naked eye, Cherry! WOW.
They are fascinating me
Magical!! Love the perfect simplicity of this scene and image!
Thanks Marcie
Time flies. Only recently one could admire them ‘pearls on a string’. Your oak tree certainly did.
Ah, a kingdom for understanding oakish …
Those pearls have been fascinating me for some time now. I just haven’t had the opportunty to take a perfect photo of them…
The Oak tree does seem to be enjoying them and vice versa
What a lovely view of the night sky.
Thanks Ellee, I am glad you like it
I saw the same things, except where you have your tree I have the snow caped mountains. I also have another favourite view I use – two sections of the mountains dip leaving a notch and during the winter the sun sets at that notch giving some spectacular shots, especially when there are clouds to reflect the sun.
Long may your tree last, I know my mountains will.
I would love to see your view, it sounds wonderful
The slight orange glow in this photo was the sun setting. I have struggled to get photos, the angles are all wrong. This one was through an upstairs window, avoiding getting the twin moon effect due to the double glazing…
I hope the Oak tree lasts for a long time, I am quite attached to it
Poor oak tree, the ivy is going to kill it…
I thought that when the Ivy started growing there. But the tree has grown at an alarming rate since the ivy arrived, so I am not so sure any more…
Atmospheric, Cherie.
Those celestial bodies have been fascinating me
How lovely, we saw this one evening but never got around to taking images. Wonderful
I have followed their movements over the last few months and found them fascinating. Now they are moving apart quite quickly…
