It is strange how we use the words ‘magic’ and ‘magical’ for predictable events, like the return of Spring flowers. I guess I’m just as guilty as most, but real magic is ‘inexplicable’ and ‘producing surprising results’. (the COD). But as the G & S song goes -
“The flowers that bloom in the spring, tra la,
Breathe promise of merry sunshine -
As we merrily dance and we sing, tra la,
We welcome the hope that they bring, tra la,
Of summer of roses and WINE. :)
And that’s what we mean when we say that a thing
Is welcome as flowers that bloom in the spring,
Tra la, la la, la la……etc.”
    Cheers…B.

Now forgive me but didn’t I see that one last year?

I took this one a couple of days ago :-)

I have taken a photo from this angle at the same time of year, but I have never posted it. It is still in my pending posts folder…

You must have seen it in my mind’s eye :-)

  4. Daffodils in London are starting to wither…
But the cherry blossoms (also magnolia) have begun. :)
    So lovely!

I noticed today as I drove home from work that the daffodils were fading… We had some exceptionally sunny and hot days for spring. Our new flowers have not sprung into life yet, I look forward to them :-)
