How strange… Just a while ago I posted a post entitled “Blue Bridge View”. I didn’t know about your one when I did so
Great minds think alike, or fools seldom differ?
The Blue Bridge wherever it is seems to provide wonderful vistas…
I think great minds think alike! No need waver from that thought
Now that’s one very strange bridge and most striking.
It is a striking bridge But I am curious as to why you think it is strange?
Almost a grandiose design miniaturized.
Ah… I see what you mean now
Such a pretty bridge and park area.
It is a pretty bridge.
What a striking colour to paint this bridge, Cherie. Do you know if the Trust reseached this, and found that it was this colour originally?
I am not sure whether it was the original colour. I can’t seem to find anything out about it.
Is that the Bridge on the River Sow? The Bridge of Soughs?
Very witty
Very striking in a green landscape. I echo Lisl’s question what was it’s original colour?
I would like to know too!
It looks lovely until the thought hits you (or it hit me)… I wonder, was someone just selling off some garish blue paint very cheap?
Interesting though it is I do think it would be more classy in glossy black or British Racing Green
We can continue the thought…
This bridge links to an Island arboretum. The other bridge that links to the arboretum is red!!
There will be a photo of that one in due course.
After looking at it for a while I start to wonder if that is just the undercoat awaiting the painters to finish it off in its proper colour
It is certainly a thought-provoking colour
And an interesting design
Soon you will see red
Red undercoat?
Who knows
