But do we not make our thoughts? I don’t know. But if we make out thoughts, and yet we are what out thoughts have made us… no wonder I feel as if I’m just going round and round in circles.
We do make our own thoughts. And those thoughts lead us to become who we are and more…
Eh… “our”, twice… (we make our typos… or do we?)
That is so true. Similar to the one I love by Dale Carnegie.
`A man is not what he thinks he is. What he thinks,he is.`
Another good quote
Did that aircraft surprise you, or were you very quick off the mark, Cherie?
I saw it as I was looking up. I managed to take several pictures of it before it flew out of view.
I love the juxtaposition of this quote with the plane “traveling far” in your image, Cherry. Brilliant.
I am glad you like it
That is so true!

Thoughts arise in me. I have no idea where some of them come from. Many, I know, come from other people. My head is chokka with the words of other people. ‘They’ started putting their idea and words in my head before I had even one of either of my own. They don’t stop !! But those words and ideas, and the one’s that ‘arise’ from who-knows-where, all get ‘The Treatment’. As this is getting, right now.
Is it ‘True’? What are the Consequences if it is true? What is my relationship to it? Can I Love you for giving it to me or shall I hand it back? Let me follow awhile and see where it goes. I shall hold off judging it until I have thought about it more. A lot more sometimes. Then it either goes toward wisdom or into the ‘fail’ basket. Or maybe back to you.
Thankfully most (I am not perfect) of ‘my own’ thoughts are intended to be kind, constructive and positive
False thoughts seem to live longer than true thoughts though.
I think perhaps it is more of a see saw effect…

Thank you
I had a feeling you would like this quote
No truer words I have found….
I am glad you like it Donna
I believe in positive thinking, however sometimes it is difficult to stay positive in a negative environment…
A nice quote that made me think
We are free in what we think, but we are not free to do what we think. I could be very dangerous then…..
However that only happens in the matter of ‘action and reaction’ when people act normal towards me, I can return that ‘normality’ too…
…..and sometimes I speak my mind, that to great laughter sometimes from my colleagues, I have a big imagination and am able to ‘give a picture’ with what I think.
Sometimes I say; it is dangerous to think and let people do the thinking that get paid to do the thinking.
I have written enough words, don’t you think…. (just being silly here)
Have a great day, sun is out here and I am about to go outside for a small walk.
When I am in an enforced negative environment I too find it hard to have positive thoughts. This type of environment is quite destructive to well being.
I think it is better to be a thinker than not
I hope you enjoyed our walk in the sunshine
i like your quote this week Cherie… words are easy to use but it is how they are received that matters…
i like your photo… a mix of the ancient and the new….peter:)
Words need to be phrased in such a way that the people who are listening to them are able to understand your meaning
I am glad you like the photo
