There is quite a variety of carvings and each a treat to see… there is also some fine gutteridge that Chad would just love….peter:)
The carvings around the top of the building are quite fascinating. I am sure Chad would love that fine display of guttering.
He he… rather random!
What’s the theme, eh?
There is more than one theme. Two of these belong to Alice in Wonderland.
These are just beautiful, LOVE the Tweedledum/ Tweedledee….
Some are so creative, must be a joy to be able to make them.
The skill of stone masons is amazing
I love the humour of these whimsical carvings. How utterly fantastic.
Lovely aren’t they?
Do you use a zoom lens to photograph these, given their height ?Also, do you use an film camera or a digital?
Yes I have a nifty zoom lens
Digital. When I got my first decent digital camera, my photography got more prolific
They’d certainly take some cleaning, Cherie.
Thankfully that is not my job
At a stone merchant I used awhile ago he had a large selection of reclaimed items including a few gargoyles from an old demolished church.
When I inquired about them he said “you talking about my Dungie Boys” I have never heard that expression other than in Suffolk ?
I have never heard that expression before!!!
