Officer Pluck will be delighted: So many bicycles to confiscate.
[Ah, just imagined how nice it would be to read something like the above written as a comment by Jams, combined with the order to all those who happen to not being in possession of the master's* complete œvre: Saddle your ponies, folks, and hurry up. The friendly, most well-educated and -sorted bookseller just around the corner will be happy to fill the gaps of your education and in your bookshelf.]
* For the few who would against all odds not know: the master’s name is Flann O’Brien, and the very book you wish to order is “The Third Policeman”.
I too miss Jams and I have been thinking of him a lot recently…
I am sure he would be delighted by your comment
Oh! …that jogged my memory Sean. I think it should be compulsory to read that book as well as this book by the same author -
http://www.amazon.com/Best-Myles-Irish-Literature-Series/dp/1564782158
and a p.s.-
I can see one solitary white bicycle there
So there is. It appears to be missing a wicker basket
Ah, JD! : )
And not to forget The Dalkey Archive and At-Swim-Two-Birds“.
… Pardon, Jams? . . . Oh, yes, and The Poor Mouth, how could I forget.
[No links to the books, as when they were set, wordpress told me:
Hmmm, your comment seems a bit spammy. We're not real big on spam around here. Please go back and try again.]
Wordpress can be a bit temperamental with links.
The next major town south of us, Sandpoint has quite a few bike riders. Our community don’t have either bike or walking paths.
Coffee is on
I can’t imagine a place without bicycles.
With all of those bicycles on to the vanishing point Cherie… there must be a lot of people in Lueven that are in great shape….peter:)
They do cycle everywhere
But no women on them, Cherie
There are a few women almost near them in the background
Leave it to the Dutch and the Belgians, Cherry!
They certainly know how to do it in style
This is all right. I’ve seen worse in Amsterdam.
Yes, right in front of their main station.
>You can get in for a concessionary rate if you are a member of English heritage
Oh the ticket was about £16 something back then. But I got it free cos I was a member of Art Fund. Better than EH.
>Were the strawberries sweet
No, of course not. Very sharp, not sweet at all. Ha ha…
There are quite a lot in Oxford too, but they are not parked up so neatly there!
James H will be in tears. No ladies astride those bikes. All those missed opportunities. Ah well.
Shhh don’t tell him
Still, thou beating heart.
Ahh… too many bicycles for your heart to cope with
