i like the timbers in the rafters Cherie… but i’m not so sure about the man hanging by the arms in the dungeon… but he casts a nice shadow….peter:)
It is the shadow that makes that photograph
Look like an interesting place for a culture center…Coffee is on
It is a very interesting place to visit
What a wonderful place to build a castle. Talk about protected and have the water source protected as well. The dungeon looks not pleasant but then, we all know that over time and even know they don’t always have the mercy.
Wonderful woodwork and love all the little hall ways and rooms. This must have been a wonderful place to wander around. Great set of pictures again.
The underground tunnels and passageways also allowed them to leave unseen in order to get food and survive a siege.
The woodwork is impressive
They have spent a lot on new expensive woodwork, Cherie
I imagine the money from the tourists had made up for that now
Oh, this is really lovely. Even more so than your previous post showing the rocky details. I like this set of posts a lot!
This inside is quite fascinating, it is like a rabbit warren
Good photography in poor light conditions.
The antlers are effective with the light assisted by the red flowers in the window. Love the first shot too.
My favourite is the last photograph
