They’re calling it the Beast from the East, Cherry, giving Siberia the credit. We
awakened to a thin dusting this morning, a day after your own. That seems weird to me…that you got yours before ours! :) Record cold temps for this time of the year…but next week it’ll be back to normal, they say, with rain. I love the pics!

A brief flurry makes everything look very pretty, Cherie. Perhaps you will have more tomorrow!

Complete chaos. No doubt all the public services and transport have been cancelled until at least May :)

I lived in Britain for two years and remember biting cold weather but not proper snow. However on all my return trips, I still take care not to return to Britain except in the northern summer. June and July are gorgeous.

Today it was colder than it has been for many years. The heating was on permanently this morning whereas it usually turns itself on and off as the house heats up. We rarely have proper snow these days and the seasons seem to have shifted slightly.

September is often the best month for a summer holiday in England.

  5. We’ve had snow too, although it was quite surreal this afternoon as the weather couldn’t make up its mind between snow blizzards and bright sunshine! :)

Even the spider web is not spared! Brr!

  7. Only so little?
At least 5″ of snow here in London. :)
Yeah, everybody can a day off tomorrow cos London can’t cope with this much snow. ;)
