We usually celebrate our wedding anniversary with a travel adventure. This year we had planned to be in Norfolk and were looking forward to meeting with friends whilst we were there.
Plan B was a mini local adventure and ‘Fine Dining’ on the patio. The weather had other ideas…
A last minute Plan C came in operation; A short drive around around local country lanes, a lunch of jam and scones, a couple of episodes of Michael Portillo’s Great British Railway Journeys, a game of Railroad Tycoon and ‘Fine Dining’, although sadly not on the patio.
PS: After our starter and main course we were too full to be tempted by the strawberries that were on offer for dessert.
Happy Anniversary, Dear Friends – and my compliments to the chef, that looks delicious. I almost ate the pictures.
I’m so sorry your travel is limited to memories of adventures past and hopeful dreams for the future, at present, but I’m glad you have each other to weather through it all, and find the best in life and appreciate it together
Much love and hugs,
Chrystal and Mark
Thank you both
It wasn’t the weekend we planned or hoped for but our anniversary meal was top notch. We often struggle to find places locally that are better than what we can conjure up at home.
Finding special dining places on our travels is something we love to do
Happy anniversary!
I hope you will be able to visit Norfolk soon later this year.
You should also stop by Suffolk en route to Norfolk.
Thank you
I hope we can put some of our travel plans in operation this year. The ones we have missed are all in the UK
We had planned on an overseas adventure in autumn…
