I had a lovely morning walk in Attingham Park with members of the Shropshire #walk1000miles group. It was lovely to catch up with old friends and meet others for the first time. Walking and talking meant I didn’t stop to take photos along the way. I will walk the route again soon with my camera in hand.
After the walk we gathered for lunch (I opted for a sandwich rather than cake) and a chat. Rather than spend more time in Attingham Park I returned home with a plan to tempt Mr C out for the afternoon in search of a ‘Naughty Cake’. He liked my plan and decided on Whitchurch, where just before the first lockdown we had enjoyed lunch in a tearoom above a bakery. I chose what looked like the rum truffles we make for Christmas. It was a rum truffle and similar but not exactly the same as our Christmas recipe.
After ’sweet’ temptations we enjoyed a short walk around the town where I was pleased to find that St Alkmund’s church was open, it had been closed on our previous visit to Whitchurch.
Much later Mr C and I enjoyed ‘Fine Dining’ at Chez Nous.
how nice to have pleasant walk with old and new friends i liked the only image ,hope your next trip will add more images .
church is exquisite though seeing it after your sweet makes it look like made up of chocolate to me
I plan to go back a capture the missing photos
Days like this are the best kind of day! It looks like you had pleasant weather too. I was hoping to enjoy an explore around Tunbridge Wells on Saturday but it was rainy and cold so we dashed about from place to place but managed a good lunch at La Casa Vecchia.
It was a perfect day with perfect weather
What a shame the weather wasn’t so favourable for you although I am glad you had an enjoyable lunch
