I had a brief meeting in the PCS Regional office this afternoon. We were discussing the latest newsletter, which by default and inaction (from the rest of the editorial team) was left to me to collect the latest articles.

I thought I was going to be taught how to produce/collate the newsletter. I was quite stunned when I realised I was there so they could ask my advice on the best way to get the information across. My PCS page seems to have made a big impact and they were even more stunned when they realised that there were only two main contributers to the articles on the site.

So we sorted out the format for the next newsletter and time schedules for future ones. Then I left for the train home, but it was such a nice day I sat and paused for a few minutes by the Floozy in the Jacuzzi.

Nice statue but boy, her back must be killing her.

Hooray for skilled editors everywhere, Cherie!
Ubermouth is so right – ooh, the lumbar spine’ll suffer for that!
But how come Brum pinching statue titles from Dublin, eh? Give ‘em back!

    They paid money for that?

  4. Wonderful. At getting on for 2 tons she’s a big lass!

I’m glad the PCS is impressed with your work.

Birmingham born, Birmingham bred, I don’t ever remember seeing this …Oh wait a minute…that does look like the ‘Town Hall’ in the background. Well how things have changed since I left. Not over keen though to go back and see a change….unless it is a change for the better.

      Hello and welcome :-)

If you don’t like that I am sure you wouldn’t like the beach and the large screen TV that are just a bit further back and to the left. And possibly you wouldn’t like, the new meets old down by the church…

As you can see Cherry, I am now, after leaving Brum 40 years ago,
enjoying life by the big “River”. As “Ratty” said…on it, and in it. (Wind in the Willows)
It would take a lot to get me back to the “Industrial Midlands”.
No, no, NO! to large screen TV.
Thanks for dropping in…see you around.
        Cheers……Bernard..(from Bournville)

Yes Bernard your place looks lovely :-)

& Luckily for me I live in rural Shropshire not the city. But I am still in striking distance of Brum for work and the occasional browse around the bookshops.

The beach is quite fun but the large screen TV does offend me!

Well done! I’m not surprised: you are very good.

    Love the floozy!
