Weight Loss – Week SixThis week I lost 1lb and reached my 5% weight goal which means I have lost 5% of my starting weight. Now I just need to keep focused and keep up the good work. I also volunteered to help out at the Weight Watchers meetings so today I was helping with the membership cards as people came in through the door.

There have been even more technology problems this week. One computer failed big time and took out the wireless network adapter with it and the jury is out on some of the other equipment and the re-installation of Outlook files is proving difficult. Then today the wireless adapter for my main computer mysteriously packed up for no apparent reason and whilst I was checking to see if it was a loose wire the computer switched itself off, then for several minutes it refused to turn back on again…

Also I unexpectedly had to have the morning off work to wait for the house alarm to be serviced and a parcel to be picked up.  The courier who was picking up the parcel arrived later than I expected so I had to call the office to let them know that I wouldn’t be able to make it to work in the afternoon either.  All the phones were engaged.  I eventually got someone in the building on their mobile number and was told that they were currently experiencing a power cut!

Looks like after the initial dip, then the pesky blip, the slow steady drift down is underway (the welcome downward trend of the weight, not the unwelcome downward spiral of the IT systems). A lot of people seem to have had computer issues this week.

The downward trend of the weight is welcome, I can feel the difference already.

The technology is rather annoying. I tried to get a replacement network adapter on the way home but they were out of stock. The other store where I could get one from is moving soon so they have run down their stock on everything! I think someone is trying to tell me something!!

  2. As the mysterious woman looked wistfully at the plan pot, she asked herself “Does my bloom look big in this?”…

  3. Congratulations on the weight loss

It’s very good, Cherie. It’s one week at a time. And slowly changing a way of eating. If you do too much too fast, it comes back. I’m not surprised you put yourself to work with the group. ;-)

That’s Cherie all right … and congrats.
