Weight Loss - Week FiveThis week I managed to lose the 1.5lb that I put on last week. *Phew*

I have had a bit of a hassely day with my brother who was trying to set up some new technology for me.  It should have been fairly simple but there was a need to call customer services and those call centres don’t work very well when the person calling them (my brother) knows more than they do! Anyway the new technology seems terminally ill and will have to be returned. Why is nothing ever simple?

My brother visiting also led to a meal out and another weight loss challenge. I decided to go back to The Gate which I visited recently.  This time I was able to choose a very healthy option; chicken breast with spring onion mash accompanied by seasonal vegetables, it was delicious.

Congrats on the wieght loss! Wish I had someone like your brother to help me, but too bad about the glitch. I’m sure it won’t slow down your blogging:)

It was meant to be short – and ‘to the point’. :)

    Well done.

      Thank You :-)

I think my Wordpress has a mind of it’s own on some occasions. It sometimes tells me “Looks like you have already said that”!!

You’re doing so well. I wish I could say the same for me :(
I have lost 1lb this week though, but that’s only 3lb in total. Never mind at least I’m going (very slowly) in the right direction :-)

Don’t become an emaciated Biafran now, Cherie.

Good for you, CP. I got off to a bad start with early croissants and it got worse with mega calorie Italian lunch and lagers alfresco. Just waiting for the Singapore noodles to be delivered – ah well, it is Friday and what lovely weather!

      Thank you :-)

It sounds like you have had several days worth of food rolled into one day. But it does all sound nice ;-)

It is barbecue weather, but I not going to let myself be tempted!

Please, watch your weight (loss), CherryPie. Continuing your quest, at a certain point you will start to shrink and thus in some months not be able to reach the keyboard …

Another change of clothes perhaps? I was alarmed when you said last time the increase might be due to the heavier clothes… Well yes Cherie, it might. To avoid such complications I always weigh myself without clothes on. My wife likes that – or at least it always makes her laugh, and she does like a laugh.

    • CherryPie says:

I never stick to the same set of clothes when I get weighed. I think getting weighed (in public) without my clothes could lead to other complications…

…especially after we were asked at the last weigh how we could tell we had lost weight other than using the scales. There were several suggestions and then I piped up ‘I can tell by looking in the mirror when I have no clothes on’. There was a collective gasp of breath followed by mutterings along the lines of ‘Oh No I couldn’t possibly look at myself in the mirror’ followed by a pause and then several further mutterings along the lines of ‘well not yet anyway’.

I think I need to learn to keep my mouth firmly shut :-O

Oh… Didn’t realise you were getting weighed in public. I should think more carefully before I give out my earnest advice! Some people are daft enought to heed it. I know I lost weight today because I climbed a bloody great mountain (as promised over at my place) but just ate about as much as I usually do. Your sunrise photo is awaited, by the way.

    • CherryPie says:

Your advice is most welcome as always :-)

And it was heeded but thankfully I am not daft enough to follow it to the letter in an inappropriate place ;-)

I haven’t forgotten my promise about the sunrise. I have two dates firmly pencilled in! If those don’t work out, it is back to the drawing board….

    Well done, Cherie.
Actually the best time to weigh oneself is after drying up from bath, or shower. Just my two-cent worth. Most everybody seem to give you advices…;-)

    • CherryPie says:

      Thanks Claudia :-)

That is the time I would probably weigh, but I actually never weigh myself at home (at the moment). I weigh in at the weight watchers meeting same time every week. I never get tempted to weigh myself more than once a week.
