Midway upon the journey of our life

I found myself within a forest dark,

For the straightforward pathway had been lost.

Ah me! how hard a thing it is to say

What was this forest savage, rough, and stern,

Which in the very thought renews the fear.

Cante Alighieri (1256 – 1321)

  1. Hmm… Interesting…

Most of has have our share of being lost “within a forest dark”, metaphorically at least, enduring adventures many who know us may know little about.

But that looks like a very friendly forest.

    It made me think of

The trees are in their autumn beauty
    The woodland paths are dry

But it’s probably a couple of moths too early for that photo. The path looks inviting rather than scary.
