  5. The photography is stunning Cherie, must pay Wallington a visit next time we go up to Northumberland, I love the way you sort of walk us through the gardens with the terrific pictures.
    Who is the statue of, (the young lady holding a posy) ? Also the statue of the naked young man, baring his muscular btm…….

      Our visit was cut a little short it started heaving down with rain. Luckily I insisted on doing the garden first, so we got to enjoy that before it started raining too much! After that we had lunch and then went in the house. The rain was set in, so we didn’t explore the grounds further.

      I am not sure who the lady is but the young man is Neptune.

      I will have to take some spring photographs for you. Things are beginning to leaf and bloom here and the orange globe has been playing in the sky. I sat outside soaking up the warmth on Sunday afternoon.
