There is so much to commend this place. It has a nice tea shop too
It must take huge teams of garden designers and workers to maintain such fabulous gardens. Out of the reach of most families and facilities, but worth every penny.
And the bridge is lovely.
The visitors help fund the cost of the property and the gardens. As you say it is worth every penny

over River Wye

Narrow footbridge. C17. Gritstone and limestone rubble. Two segmental arches of
gritstone rubble voussoirs. Triangular sectioned cutwaters between arches to
either side. Above, low rubble parapets with rubble copings. Walls thicken to
either end. The bridge derives its name from the legend that Dorothy Vernon
escaped over this bridge to elope with her lover during the festivities of her
sister’s wedding.

So beautiful and they remind me of one we visited in the south somewhere.
We are so lucky to have many beautiful gardens in England.
