1000 Miles Completed in 2019

Today is the day! I completed 1000 miles walking in 2019 :-)

There were jobs around the house that I needed to do today and I was so close to my target that I didn’t want to risk completing my miles doing housework. Nor did I want to complete my miles on a local walk that I had done before.

So after the postman had delivered some parcels that Mr C was expecting I set off in a different direction hoping for some inspiration. The sunshine was warm and welcoming leading me to find the pathway to Little Apley Pool which I have been meaning to locate for several months. I wasn’t disappointed, the pathway is lovely and the pool was so blue.

It was an added bonus to find out (via posts on #walk1000miles FaceBook page) that the latest issue of the magazine was out a day earlier than usual. I was able to track down a copy and it was a thrill to see my name on the ‘Wall of Completers’ on the day I completed my 1000 miles :-)

1000 Miles - 2019

Now I just have to complete my personal pledge which I hope to do before the end of the year.

You sure walked some beautiful places.

Housework? Unless the children are starving, I would not let a bit of dusting or ironing block the attempt to reach your target . Go for it!

  3. Bernard (still resting) says:

“I’d walk a thousand miles, for one of you smiles, my Cherie.”
Well done. Now take a well earned rest and put your feet up for Christmas.

    • CherryPie says:

      Bless you, Bernard :-)

I am still ready with my smiles but I don’t want to put my feet up… I have my own personal stretch challenge. I would like to complete it before 2019 turns to 2020.

Some days I am ahead and some days I am behind…

Congratulations! That’s a great achievement. Bet you feel healthier for it too. Same again for 2020?

  5. Well done! So are you to challenge 2020-mile walking in 2020?
You should since it’s a lucky number!

    • CherryPie says:

I have pledged to join the 2020 challenge.

Others in the challenge group have mentioned that 2020 is a lucky number…

Can you tell me about the lucky number and what it means?

  6. Astrid says:

      Thank you :-)

I have already signed up for the 2020 challenge and ordered the badge to wear as I walk.

Next year I want to venture further afield with my walks :-)
