The weather was a little chilly and the sky rather overcast leading to a walk that blew away the cobwebs. Along the way a encountered two former colleagues and a Police Officer looking for a homeless person with an aggressive dog setting up a shelter in the woodland area.
I had a brief conversation with the Police Officer and confirmed that I hadn’t seen anything untoward. He bid me goodbye saying, enjoy the rest of your walk.
I continued my walk around Apley Pool where I saw several shelters around the pool that had been erected by fishermen just doing their thing.
Very scenic. It is sure to energise and refresh anyone who soaks in these beautiful landscapes.
I am lucky to have this and other lovely walks near to my home
How could homeless folks afford to keep pet dogs?
I often see them with dogs, sometimes even with cats, begging for food (money?) in London.
It is always difficult to know the circumstances of apparently homeless people. Like you, I wonder about those with dogs by their side. On the other hand there are those that you can see that are genuinely in need.
Beautiful photos, especially the squirrels and ducks. I hope they found the person and got them and their dog to a better place.
I was a little bit dubious as to what had actually been reported. But hopfully nothing untoward was going on the the woodland and if there was a problem the person got moved to a safer place for everyone.

Homelessness is a problem that we need to find a way to fix.
