“Their name liveth for evermore”.
Oh I visited Wellington in New Zealand early this year.
This is the original “Wellington” that inspired the Kiwi one?
But I think the Kiwi town was named after the first Duke of Wellington?
Have you been to Aspley House (Wellington’s house) in London?
It’s worth a visit. Been there many times cos it’s free with my Art Pass
The Wellington in this post pre-dates the Duke of Wellington. The origins of the name are quite different.

True, but at a terrible cost. They died at 18 or 22 or whatever, with no spouse, no children and no house of their own. What a terrible loss of a life
