Each friend represents a world in us; a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only in meeting them that a new world is born.

Cherie’s Place – Thought for the Week
13 Comments CherryPie on Jun 7th 2009
Lovely way to think of friendship Cherie and a lovely photo to accompany it. I wonder what it is. A hellebore?
I wasn’t sure what it was, but Jams has confirmed it is a Hellebore.
Shaw said that friends are not the people we like best but the one’s who got there first.
I prefer your take on friendship although, as Elizabeth I wrote herself: ‘In trust hath I found treachery.’
Somehow, the truth is perhaps in the middle On the other hand, I have a loyal blogfriend right now and I am as loyal to her. She doesn’t share my views on politics but we still get on well.
Why would that be?
I am not sure about the quote by Shaw. That makes me think of the way my work colleagues talk about friends which is quite shallow.
Your last comment is one to think about, I think there a several things that make a friendship work

Lovely flowers and thought-provoking quote.
Trying to catch up. Disturbing to see my car in a museum! I really like the deckchairs on the beach shots too.
Glad you like it.
Well at least your car is good enough to show off in a museum
