Looks very broken indeed.
It has seen a lot of action
Perfect for the theme. Broken but enduring!
Happy weekend Cherie.
Very enduring yes I hope you have a good weekend too.
NO- not broken, just a little fixer upper….a coat of paint and it all set…Great shot for the theme!
I can just imagine the view after a small lick of paint
Very atmospheric. I would love to bring my tent, and live within those walls for a week. I guess they would whisper a very interesting story.
There is certainly a lot of history there
I love visiting castles — ruined ones can be such fun playgrounds as well as have such interesting stories to tell.
They fascinate me.
wow, that looks like a wonderful place to visit
It is in a lovely setting
Ah what better choice for the theme! Have a great weekend!
I was struggling with this one again, then I had some sudden inspiration.
Wonderful.
Mine is not broken…
Thank you
Broken pieces that tell a history, I like it!
Yes there is a lot of history in broken pieces.
The picture show it all for the theme. Happy hunting. mine is up.
Broken but withstanding the test of time
Very cool shot. I love old crumbling places like that.
Thanks for visiting mine and have a nice weekend.
We have a lot of opportunities over here.
Looks like a lot of work has gone into excavating and preserving this broken place. Beautiful shot and great take on the theme this week.

A lot of TLC over the years I think
Gorgeous site, and photo.
Thank you Lisa
Interesting place. The walls are all broken but the grass down below is trimmed and green. Where was it taken?
My photo hunt post this week is about broken hearts and broken arms:

Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Chinese New Year!
It is Norham Castle in Northumberland.
“A handyman’s dream”…
Which castle is that?
Norham Castle
Had the Roman Army just been? LOL.
They certainly passed by close to this one.
Broken, yes, but still so beautiful!
I love old ruined castles.
How fascinating!! Great take for the theme.
I’m late in visiting everyone for Photo Hunters, but better late than never! Have a wonderful week.
Thanks Mrs M
English Heritage/the National Trust should be employing you! Lovely interpretation, as always – broken, but unbroken at the same time.
I would enjoy doing that a lot more than I enjoy my day job
