As promised here are pictures of the Round Pond which is situated in front of Kensington Palace.  You can see the exact location on the Wikimapia page where you will also notice that it is more square than round.

    [No nitpicking]
Is it officially called ‘the Round Pond’? For me it’s always just been ‘The Pond’.

Look at the birds…So confident! You must have been near them to take those beautiful photos. And they didn’t fly away. Do you speak birds’language, Cherie?

Nice anecdote to ponder about, CherryPie. Thank you. :)

It’s a long time since I’ve been there. It is a lovely location.

Oh, I love the Round Pond – one of my favourite places in London. Used to live nearby and walked through the Gardens en route to work at one stage: the most enjoyable commute I’ve ever had, even in the rain! Thank you so much for the beautifully-photographed reminders, Cherie.

I am glad you enjoyed the reminder :-) I don’t think I would like to live in the city but I do wish I was closer to visit and explore more often.
